Penn Foster News | January 2010

We want to open our New Year’s message by sincerely thanking you for being a part of the Penn Foster Family. Whether 2009 was your first year with us or you’ve been with us for several years, we are grateful to all of you for choosing Penn Foster to help you reach your educational goals.

The true measure of success for any school can only be determined by evaluating the success of its students. And 2009, we’re pleased to say, has been another great year for Penn Foster and you…our students. This year, a preliminary survey of last year’s graduates revealed that Penn Foster students earn back their tuition in less than three months after graduation, and our graduates received an average 15.6% increase in income after completing their program. This comes as great news, not only for the quality of the training we offer, but of the caliber of students who enroll in our programs. We’ve always felt that our students are particularly committed to their success and these statistics bear this out.

This past year, we had many students (current and alumni) come back to us with such great stories about how their own hard work and determination, along with the training they received from Penn Foster, led them to accomplish more than even they thought was possible. Penn Foster graduate Laura Harper is just one example…

“After I obtained my diploma from Penn Foster, I was able to get a really nice job and was able to enter college. I am now pursuing a bachelor’s degree. I would have never been able to reach this step had I not chosen Penn Foster for my education.”

Hearing stories like Laura’s validates everything that we set out to accomplish as a school. It is with great pride that we play our part in “Changing Lives through Accessible, Affordable Education.”

As we start another exciting year, everyone at Penn Foster wishes a happy and healthy New Year to our alumni, students, and their most important support system…their families and friends.
