DAVID G. of Brooklyn, NY
“I am currently taking the Criminal Justice Program at Penn Foster College. I was enrolled at Berkeley College in 1993 taking Business Management courses but, with the birth of my son, I had to drop out to work. Well, after another child and another on the way, when I decided I wanted to go back to finish my college education, a traditional college was out of the question. My wife is a school teacher with a master’s degree, and I want to get a degree to further my career and to show my children that school is very important. I am currently a Federal Correction Officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Brooklyn, NY. I work four to midnight and watch my children during the day while my wife is at work. It’s hard to watch my children, do schoolwork and work, but it can be done. Penn Foster is a great school and allows you to work at your own pace, which is very important when you have very playful children at home that want your full attention. I do not rush, and I feel Penn Foster was the best choice for me. Thank you.”

HEATHER H. of West Virginia
“My name is Heather. I have lived in North Carolina for almost 10 years, but I’m originally from West Virginia. I love to sing and write and love photography and modeling. I graduated in June 2008 from Newton-Conover High School. I was in band, color-guard, choir, beta club, and national honors society. Now I am the color-guard instructor at my high school, and I love it. I was always a good student and maintained a 3.5 GPA, or higher. I took all honors courses including: Honors World History, Honors English, Honors Civics and Economics, Pre-Calculus, AP Statistics, Honors Physics, Honors Environmental Science, Honors Women’s Choir, Honors Chamber Choir, and Spanish 2. I love to learn and share my knowledge with other people. Penn Foster has helped me with my lifestyle. I was having difficulty deciding on what I needed to do after high school because I felt like I wasn’t ready to leave home yet. I wasn’t even sure of what I wanted to do. I’m almost finished with my first semester studying to be a Medical Assistant and I have even considered doing something more advanced in medicine later in life. Penn Foster is a great school with great opportunities.”
